KEY TO TITLE ABBREVIATIONS USED ABOVE:

CD - Companion Dog (The novice obedience title awarded by earning 3 qualifying scores at AKC obedience trials. Exercises consist of heeling on leash, off leash, recall, stand for exam and group stays of 1 and 3 minutes)

CDX - Companion Dog Excellent (2nd level of Obedience competition - Open title awarded by 3 qualifying scores.

Off leash pattern, drop on recall, retrieve on flat and high jump, broad jump, stays 3 & 5 minutes with owner out of site)

RN - Rally Novice (The first title you can earn in Rally competition by performing on leash rally course. Talking and coaxing permitted)

RA - Rally Advanced (2nd level Rally competition, performed off leash and contains 1 jump)

CGC - Canine Good Citizen (Award given through the AKC for good manners, see CGC page for additional info)

Th Dog - Designation that the dog has passed the requirements to become a certified Therapy Dog

All titles earned by the dog, with the exception of the CGC and Th Dog, become a permanent part of the dog’s registered name. All are AKC designations, but mixed breeds have been eligible to compete since 2010!
